SCORE

I gave Mommy a present Monday. A special one. I ate out of her hand. Not just a piece of something with a couple of her fingers (it took me years to do that) but foodies in HER WHOLE CUPPED HAND.
Sweet. Well, it was a big deal for us.
So I am sharing it.
Happy Tuxie Tuesday.
Don't forget, Americans, vote today!
Love,
Quinnie

Here We Go Again

Hello!
We're still here! Things have been topsy-turvy my Mommy says. Well, actually I cleaned that up a bit for the little kittens out there.
Our housekeeper (we don't pay for her directly) threw our important stuff in the bins outside. We mean she threw Mommy's thing she wore around her neck to keep her keys and ID's and Mobility cards and her debit card all together into the trash.  Mommy gave her her thing so she could throw a broken fan out. Not everything!!!
Mommy called her bank and her transit stuff in and got a temp card to get in the building here and they made her new keys for the front door and the mail box and apartment key.  Her mail had been stopped so she called them and explained about the key.  The next day she got her mail.
The company that the housekeeper hired is paying for the cost of all her key stuff (management charges a lot to replace everything) and they gave her a call Wednesday because the check they sent to us was returned undeliverable. She called her bank and advised them to resend their card. She left a message with another company. She called her local post office to complain and they told her to call back today, early. She asked to speak to the Supervisor.  That's who she was talking to. So she spend 45 minutes on hold with Washington at the main post office there and filed a complaint.
She has still no metro card, no debit card, no permanent key card for the front door, and no check. She can't go anywhere, pay any bills (we're now late.)
Mommy is once again very upset.
Our homemaker is very sorry, and her company was kind enough to send a check for the charges (and they are going to resend it!).
Our bank is sending another card. The local banks have a way to issue right away, but we now have no way to get there because of the Metro card problem.
Oh, and I still have just about enough foodies and stuff. But the low litter is making me worry a little.
And oh, yes, we can't even get our email because it is linked in to our  "computer doctor" account.
It never ends here, does it.  Mommy did fill out three new apps for somewhere else to live.
She wonders how she is going to get her favorite dish soap because she has no way of ordering it to be delivered or getting to Target to  buy it in person. And I don't like coffee cups, so I can't help. Slurp Coffee, blaaaaaaaaaagh! Broccoli blaaaaaaaaaah!
Pray for our luck to change. This is ridiculous. Send pizza, but not through the mail!
love you all,
Quinnie Makayla

Pirates Ahoy

I don't have a pirate dress, and I don't speak Pirate, but here's my pirate pictures for today's special day:

We're doing okay here.
Last Sunday early in the morning someone pounded on our front door and woke us up.  But Mommy wasn't really too awake and transferring from our bed to the wheelchair was a scary idea for her  (and I was sure it was for her, too).  So they went away, whoever they were and we were very grateful Mommy remembered to lock the door! We just snuggled back together and we went back to sleep.
Monday Mommy had her monthly visit  to change her catheter but had forgotten to arrange a ride through her insurants so she called our old friends the MetroMobility bus.  When she was done with her ppointment they were a half hour late picking  her up (in a really bad rainstorm, so that was sort of a good excuse, plus traffic and all the construction). It also took over an hour and a half to get home (we live about a mile from the clinic she went to). She said they drove all over south Minneapolis (we live in Nordeast Mpls), so she got to see a lot of stuff she used to live close to. A new Target, a restaurant where her old bank used to be, lots of new condos, a new Walgreens, one of her old grocery stores totally remodeled, that sort of was entertaining for her on the way home. But there were three people still on the bus when she was let off who still had to go to the northern suburbs. She felt sad for them.
But I missed her. And she filled my water and foodies and went directly to bed she was so tired out. We got to snuggle.
Anyway, this evening she's ordering from a more expensive store. But they had what they call BOGO sales, buy one and get one free. So she got lots of stuff half off.  It wasn't a big order. Just some of the sale stuff. But she did mention she got two sausage pizzas, and we don't have pizza that often. Yummmmm.
We also got to talk to Chewy today. We had to delay our next delivery cause we are really stocked up right now. Mommy told them Quinnie thanks them.  I was sitting right there when Mommy called!
So Happy Talk like a Pirate Day!
love ya,
Quinnie Makayla
(sort of a Pirate lady, so woofies are not really walking the plank here)

Saturday Stuff

Mommy was being silly again.
We had groceries delivered today and she had hit the shampoo key on the puter 5 times when she placed her order! She called them, laughed at herself, and they came back today to pick up the 4 she didn't need.  Now if she gets heavy fingered and orders two or three cans of the same soup, well, we'll eventually eat them.  But 5 bottles of shampoo? That would take a couple of years and too much storage space (we're trying to move, ya know)!
It is yucky dark out today, probly going to rain. So Mommy is staying at home. She has a couple of things to do, cause guess what? They are doing another bug inspection Tuesday. She doesn't know whether to be insulted, pissed off or laugh at their waste of housing money. We don't HAVE any bugs!
Mommy got shots in both her knees at the doctor's office yesterday.  It's sposed to take up to a month to  work (Arthur-itis, ya know) but this stuff, if it works, is good for 6 months and won't bother her diabetes. She says it is NOT courtazone.
She couldn't think of a reason for me to meow and meow when the delivery people left.  Then she checked my water, which was totally blocked off by the waste basket and the recycling bin. Important stuff! It's all fixed now. I got some "good girl" pets, too.
We are such blessed kitties, aren't we?
Adopt a shelter pet or a rescue animal!!!!
love ya,
Quinnie and her Mommy Carol
And stay safe and happy those of you who have Labor day weekend.
5 bottles of shampoo. Tee hee. Mommy and I are still laughing.

Terrible Tuxie Tuesday

Mommy and I have been going through what she's been calling "hell". She has had lots of problems with her folio bag breaking and even after a trip to the ER she broke the one they gave her. She put in an order for more bags and the first box had something called CPAP masks. She said but she never has had a CPAP machine  in her life.  Then they speedy delivered the catheters (for inside the body) but she didn't need them. Finally she cried  on the phone and one of the  ladies in the office at the supply place dropped the right stuff off when she got  off work.  It only took 4 days and lots of plastic bags that broke all  over the place (she used my litter bags) and we were foot deep (for me anyway) in water. Pee water. Now the floor has to be specially washed and even though we have a housekeeper now Mommy has to do it.
On top  of everything else, Tuesday we were also over my head in garbage (they were cleaning the chutes and we couldn't  dump garbage down them) and we had a major fire drill.
If we had an upstairs that Mommy could climb up the stairs to, this would have been the end of our day! But we snuggled anyway.
love ya all,
Quinnie and Mommy Carol
(definitely send pizza!)

Once again

Well, we have been gone awhile.
Once again Mommy was in the hospital. This time it was because she choked really bad and had fluid and food  in her lungs and there was some mention of problems with her heart.  After a several day stay she is home. I told her off for at least  a day.  Don't do that again, Mom.  The paramedics  were nice  and made sure I had foodies and water, but they took you away! Take better care of yourself!
Yes, she did yell at me finally to shut  up, but she also told  me she loved me and missed me and was sorry I was scared. So was she.
Now things are going okay again. We had Laura, our new cleaner in on Thursday. She has yet to clean the bathroom, and Mommy had to redo some of the stuff she did in the cupboards (she had left pots and pans sitting on the counter and plastic stuff in the cupboards Mommy found and Mommy was a little mad).
Anyway, next week Laura won't be here as we have not only another inspection but a doctor's appointment for her eyes again, and another day another doctor's appointment.
So today Mommy will be gone this afternoon, but she will be going to see a possible place for us to move into some time.
We are also in a new heat wave, But our a/c coolie thingy is working very well and we are comfy.
So that is the update for now.
Hope you had a good World Cat Day. Mommy forgot.
But I always get kissies….
Love ya,
and yes, we are now okay, so don't worry,
prayers accepted as  usual,
Quinnie and Mommy Carol
Send a pizza????

Thursday Thankfuls

How about more good news than bad????
Mommy got her totes back, and Voila (that's French, don't cha know) the first thing that came out was my bed pillow!!!! Waiting to come out is Mommy's bed pillow (no more head on the crunched up flannel robe for her).
She hasn't opened anything else yet, cause we are waiting on the wheelchair guy to come back. Yes, Mommy's new wheelchair!!
He has to do some stuff with the footies on the chair.
Mommy got her foodie delivery from Mom's Meals. That's lunch taken care of for the next couple of weeks.  This is paid for by her new insurants. And I get to lick the remainder when she is finished eating (if there are no onions or stuff I can't have). According to Mommy she really loves these meals. She gets to make her own choices of what to eat and they are very tasty.
The rest of her groceries she has to order herself and pay for.  That takes care of Friday night. She has an order coming.
She is still waiting for her metromobility new card.  That's the bad news.
She needs it badly. Rides to medical appointments are now paid for by the new insurants, but we still need the metromobility card for Mommy to go other places. Like the library or grocery store  or Target or Walmart or museums and stuff. And it is important for her to get out and do stuff. And to see new places to maybe move to.
We don't have a housekeeper yet.  Maybe next week.
Tuesday when she was at another doctor's appointment was what the weathernuts here call a perfect 10 weather day, so that made her happy to be out.
Maggie couldn't come this week because her Mommy had to take her training. She is an agility pro, and needs to keep up her agility work.
She is such a cutie, and thinks she's another cat at her house, so she gets along great with us felines even though she's a woofie. She even loves our feather wands! Word with sister brandi is she loves Temptations, too. See? She really does think she's another cat at her house.
More of you can come over any time, really. This week has been fun,  and fun is a good thing to have. Salmon is still plentiful here (Beyond® crunchies,  of course).
Love ya,
Quinnie

Checking in again

As busy as this week has been (notice we haven't blogged or even checked in on other blogs yet) next week is going to be even busier for Mommy. She has doctors to see on Monday and Tuesday, a place to visit to see if we would want to live there, errands to run, foodies for Mommy to order.... Wait. NO! Mommy has been busy this week and she will be busy next week. Me???? I am a little spoiled kitty cat and I get to stay HOME.
Maybe, if anyone is free, you can come over and visit??
I'll break out the red dot machine and my tickle pickle and maybe some wands and a little catnip and my Beyond crunchies (salmon flavor, of course). There will be plenty of water, too. We even have some bottled water!
All you have to do is come.  And if you want pizza, you have to bring it  yourselves! We don't have green papers for such things. *sigh*
Up to you. You are invited!
Nice woofies welcome. I'm gonna ask my woofie friend Maggie if she can come.
Love ya all,
Quinnie-poo (that's one of my Mommy's silly names for me. You may call me Quinn, Quinnie, or Quinnie Makayla)
And yes, there are still a lot of bags to play on or under!
We still don't have our totes.

June 30, 2018

Sultry Saturday

Well. Mommy's eyes are not good again and she had to have a shot in her eye.  That's right, you read that right. In her eye.
The main tech for the bug department came in and said, yes, there are no bugs. But management has decided that they are still holding on to our totes until an apartment becomes available so that they can do another heat treat. On plastic boxes???  Are they nuts??? So in the meantime Mommy can't use her walker or wheelchair in the bedroom or bathroom because all her towels and blankets and clothes are in big plastic bags on the bedroom floor. It also prevents us from having a new housekeeper. And Mommy from having a bed pillow. And me from having my little bed.
Hssst!
Mommy left management a message on the office phone that if she had to go to the police just to get her unlawfully held stuff back she will.  Of course, that really wouldn't do anything, but she felt better saying that. She can imagine the nice police persons having a good laugh over that "threat".
In the meantime, it is extremely hot here but our new a/c thingy is keeping us comfy.
Hope all of you out there are keeping cool, and please think about our feral friends who need water, too.
Love ya,
Quinnie

Latest Stuff!

You won't believe what happened to Mommy!!!
No, no, no! Nothing bad!
When we got our grocery delivery there was this big box of fruit. Now Mommy had ordered some plums, and she got them. But she didn't order all this fruit! She, being the good Mommy that I love, called the store and told them about this mistake.  They thanked her for her honesty.  She said she just didn't want someone to miss part of their order.
They said to keep the box.
Wasn't that nice?   She got rewarded for being honest!
Now if someone had ordered a big box of pizzas or kitty foodies or something I would have been ecstatic.  But it was nice for Mommy, all the same.
Now you won't believe what happened to me!!!
No, no, no! Again nothing bad!
I got my Chewy box!!  That was super for me.  Even if it was my normal order and I knew what was in it, it was all mine!
Mommy has a couple of pointments next week and FINALLY they are coming back with the ransomed totes and stuff.  On next Friday.  Totally unacceptable but about Hhrrmph time! My little bed will be mine again!
Just so Mommy remembers on Monday to call in her meal order a day early because of the holiday coming up.  You know, that loud National Holiday with the boomers.
Did I tell you she gets lunches now during the week? From a nice place with good foodies for her that are really good tasting?  I can tell by the whiffies! Her new insurants pays for it. Oh, and they also pay for someone to come and do nice stuff for her feets. They have already been here once.
I,  of course, get my Furminator and tummy rubs and foodies and water and she spoils me with kissies, so it's nice she gets spoiled a little, too.
Now if we only had that new wheelie chair and found a nicer place to live and Mommie had some more green monies so she won't "overdraft" at her bank and can do some nice stuff. She already bought new oven mitts.
Did you think we went  on some vacation??? Just new oven  mitts!
When they come next Friday I think we get the go-ahead to finally get a new housekeeper so Mommie doesn't have to worry about that kind of stuff, cleaning and stuff. So all she will have to worry about is making my foodie bowl have foodies in it, my water bowl clean and full and my litter box is taken care of regularly and I get petted and cuddled and Furminated all the time. She just has to take care of ME!
Won't that be nice?
Love ya all!

Tuxie Tuesday Update

Our new a/c is quite the thing.  It has a remote!  It also has a temperature control and a special energy thing that turns it off when it is cool enough and comes on without touching it when it needs to turn on to maintain the cool. Now we have several remotes for stuff here and the pile is growing.
What will they think of next?
Maintenance here is holding some of our stuff, and they are going to retreat it sometime this week.  One of the items is MY LITTLE BED! So I have to use my kitty tree or my carrier or my big bed (Mommy calls  it hers--Hmmph) or the (my) office chair.  And we still have mounds of bags full of stuff. While Mommy hates this, and it makes it hard to get to the bathroom and bedroom for her it is fun for me!
Most of the kitchen stuff is put back (not all) and Mommy even found my old water dish! I like the one I have now (it's one of Mommy's ceramic bowls).
We  still don't have Mommy's new chair. And Mommy is running out of foodies. Don't panic.  She  gets her "ssi" monies in a couple days.
Yes, it is hot out, but the new a.c thingie works really well, so we are okay. And Mommy (so far)  doesn't have to go anywhere this week.  She is having groceries delivered when she gets her monies. Next week she has pointments and stuff. But this week it's just Mommy and Me!
The Trout Town gang has me thinking.  A mushroom pizza with lots of cheezes and a perch fishie layer, too! Yummmmm. And  don't forget the catnip flavoring, too!
Happy Tuxie Tuesday!
Hope all of you lucky enough to have daddies had a lovely Sunday.
Love ya,
Quinnie

Still hard at work

Well I spent a looooonnnnnnggg time Tuesday looking out at the traffic from the community room.  Pretty boring. Cars, but not a lot of birdie tv.  Then when we came back home it was sooooooo hot in the partment I spent a lot of time laying next to the front door trying to get a cool breeze (there wasn't one). Mommy's working hard on getting things settled.  She finally has our bed finished (except for the bed pillow--she hasn't found that yet). My little bed hasn't shown up yet!
She's trying to get ready for our new a/c. Sheesh!   Mouses!  What a lot of stuff we have.  I'm having fun crawling underneath the bags of clothes and blankets and stuff in the bedroom.
And the quilt is back on the bed. No more hiding under the winter flannel sheets! About time, wouldn't you say? Especially with all the hot weather....
Anyone close want to come over and help Mommy??
Bring pizza (she doesn't know I said that).
With all this work her numbers (remember she's a diabetic) are great, so a few carbs won't hurt her. Don't forget the mushrooms (for ME).
And a little nip couldn't hurt.
Love ya,
Quinnie Makayla
yawn... I need another nap. Watching Mommy is hard work.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

News, news, news!

Mommy and I are camping out for the next several days. All her clothes and the kitchen stuff is all packed up.  Are we moving? NOT YET. They had peoples come in and do that and to clean everywhere.  They were nice peoples, and liked kitty cats. One even picked me up and cuddled me! They burned some coffee beans on the stove cause they said it would refresh the air.  Guess it worked, so maybe your mommies and daddies can do that, too.
Anyway, my bed has been washed, Mommy's bed is naked except for bags and bags of stuff, all the kitchen stuff is in totes and peoples aren't coming back till Tuesday!
Tuesday we will be "tented" and they will  do another heat treat.  We don't really know why, except management here wants to irritate us and inconvenience us, cause there aren't any bugs here.
Mommy gets to open a bag up and get some clothes till Tuesday and towels so she can shower, but then the bags have to be closed again. We also got a pan for Mommy to cook with, and Mommy got one of the guys to find her can opener.
Well, that's not the end, but the rest is good news:
Tuesday evening there is  meeting and they are replacing all the garbage foods with healthier choices and peoples get to vote on what they like in the vending machines.
Thursday they are  coming in all the partments and giving us brand new air conditioners!
Maybe this place isn't so bad.

I do want my bed back. They washed all the good furs off it! I have some shedding to do!
Love ya!
Quinnie

Finally Friday

It has gotten muggy.
And the temps are going to be in the 90's for the weekend.  Mommy has been cleaning and she had everything but the bathroom cleaned by her dinnertime Thursday. That and of course my litterbox. And the laundry.
So everything is done and they will come and find us today and hopefully it all will go smoothly.
Then this evening we get foodies delivered. Mommy's grocery order.
Thank you to those of you who stopped in and kept me company Wednesday. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Mommy enjoyed the extra furs around here (tee hee) when she got home.
Mommy it was so NOT my furball on the bedroom floor! (sh, friends, I do believe it was--she needs to Furminate me even more, not that I mind).
Have a good long weekend, those of you who can. Keep cool.
Love ya,
Quinnie

May 23, 2018

It has been cuddle weather for a couple of days, but the weather nuts have said it is going to get muggy and hot soon. Hope the a/c thingy works cause we haven't had to use it yet!
Mommy is going to another eye appointment today. With her new insurants she can get a free ride to the doctors and home, so she has scheduled that. We'll wait and see how the rides are.
Mommy talked to her new "care co-ordinator" yesterday and she told mommy she is going to get a new chair or this one repaired shortly.  And with a new company. Hooray, we hope.
The major clean up is delayed. Since we have new insurants it is responsible for the clean up now, not housing, and that takes "paperwork". So mommy is being inspected on Friday with the understanding that it will not be perfect, so please don't kick us out! Mommy is going  to do her best. Mostly it is regular cleaning, anyway. Only real problem is where the old freezer was. Yucky.
She made spaghetti this last weekend and the sauce got all over and she had to clean it all up, so the stove is spotless and one less thing to worry about.
So the weather is heating up and it is the holiday weekend coming up.
I slept through most of the Royal Wedding stuff. How about you?  We are anglophiles in this home,  don't cha know (that means mommy likes British stuff). So it was a nice sleep??
Why do humans cry at weddings?  They are supposed to be happy times!
Can't wait for Mommy to get home today. Anyone want to come over and keep me company for a while?
love ya,

Quinnie Makayla

Tuxie Tuesday

Whoa!!!!!!
We had a wonderful day yesterday! The windows were open, Mommy came home in the early afternoon from her pointment and the pharmacy. I got rubbies and stuff (well, actually she's getting pretty good with the rubbies and brushies and even bottle water most of the time!)
She feels much better and has a couple of  days left to take her medicines for her sickies. She has new insurance and since she's now considered an old lady (sorry, Mom) she gets help with medicines and can go back to her insulin pens that she had to give up a couple of  years ago because they were too much green papers.  She said years ago when she began to take insulin they didn't have pens, so the bottles didn't bother her going back to them, but she is glad she can go back to the pens. They are more convenient!
She said it was wonderful being able to sit outside and wait for her rides yesterday. Everyone is enjoying not seeing snow around here!
She has already been on the phone today with her new health plan and is meeting with a coordinator and her caseworker on Thursday morning.
Someone who worked at the grocery store attached to the pharmacy came up to her when she was going to the pharmacy and said her wheelchair had a problem with one of the wheels and she should have it looked at. Does that mean she will finally get a lectric one???
Patience, Mommy!
The sun went away this morning and the weather nuts on tv said rain is coming. Can I pout now? Just don't shut the windows, Mommy! I better go get some more window whiffies in just in case!
love ya,
Quinnie Makayla

Sunday News

😹Mommy had to go to the hospital again yesterday. She had a big infection and hurted a lot. she came home really late and was much much better. But tomorrow she has to go to the clinic to get some test results back and maybe change some medicine she got last night. She gave me my usual massages last night (as late as it was) and this morning and a nice long brushie with my Furminator today cause I am shedding in this warmer weather like crazy.
I am so relaxed and pretty now. And Mommy isn't in pain anymore.
love ya,
Quinnie Makayla

May 1, 2018

Tuxie Tuesday and it is finally May!!

Oooh, last night Mommy made my favorite dish again.  The one with pasta, soup, sour cream, milk, and shredded cheese.  That meant I got to lick on the soup cans and the sour cream container after the contents went into the dish.
And it  was really warm out, too. 84 degrees F!
What a great day.
And the pest control lady (yes, they do have lady ones) said we don't have bugs. Mommy has been constantly getting harassed about the bugs in our partment from management. Now even the pest control lady agrees! NO BUGS!
Mommy says she dreams about two things. A new partment in a nice southernly area (in the twin cities, silly) and a lectric wheelchair.
We'll see!
I dream about more of those yummy dishes!
Love ya,
Quinnie

Tuxie Tuesday

Well, the weather is beautiful and the windows are open and the wiffies outside are very very interesting.
I miss my special chair.

Mommy did a bad thing last night. She went downstairs and did laundry for hours. She said one of her favorite people here was down in the laundry, too, and they ended up talking for  hours.
She still has lots of laundry to do, but she did enjoy herself. So I guess that's  okay.  Keep smiling, Mommy! Today my Chewy box came and I'm blessed with window wiffies and Chewy!!!
Like I told you, it smells wonderful out there. Mommy said spring has sprung.
Boing!
Hey, it's Tuxie Tuesday!
Love ya,
Quinnie

End of the week review

Hello, again.
Mommy went out for another doctor's ppointment  this week, but it was just some tests and check ups. No big deal. She also went to a grocery store. She mostly bought some stuff for a casserole we like. It has sour cream and cheese and mushroom soup in it and it is yummy. We had it  couple of weeks ago. I don't get to eat the mushrooms and don't like the pasta, but everything else is  safe for kitties to eat.
Some people are coming to clean next week. Sounds like I am going to have to go to one of my hidey spaces. Unless there are some cute guys.... Mommy also has another ppointment with the eye people next week.
This week she was very proud of her kitty cat. When she had her bag changed I curled right up to her shoulder and stayed there during the whole thing, offering her encouragement. She thanked me and told me I was a very good nursey.
Of course! I love her after all.
Blessings to everyone,
love ya,
Quinnie

DON'T FORGET US! wE'RE STILL HERE!

OMG!
We've been gone forever!
We have lots of news.
Mommy still has failing  eyesight in her future, but everything is okay for now. Whew! She got the sight for the most part back in her left eye.
Right now we are in a blizzard. 10.1 inches so far.
In April!
The real reason we haven't been back has really nothing to do with our health (mine included). Well, they are ongoing....
We had computer problems.
We scraped up enough money to replace the dead keyboard. Finally. Found out it wasn't that hard or expensive.  Thank you, Wally's World.
But we had to make sure Mommy had enough green papers to get her insulin.
And we had an awesome miracle. Enough to buy the new keyboard AND the insulin AND a little food. AND pay April's rent. Only a little late.
Guess God decided we had enough suffering for a little while.  Thank you, thank you, God.
Of course, we have gotten word that we have to move out of here. Very soon. We need help with moving and deposits and stuff.
It feels good to have a working computer though, and some foodies and mommy's medicine.
Now we can catch up on everybody and everycat and everywoofie and just fantastic you ALL!
love ya,
Thanks for all your prayers and kind thoughts,
Bless you all, and we've got you on our prayer list, too!
lovely little sweet lady cat, Quinnie Makayla
And dear Mommy Carol.

Next Disaster

We are so sorry. Yesterday  morning Mommy lost the sight in her left eye.  So she can't help me b;og much right now.
Please pray hard for us.
Chewy sent Mommy a little paining of me, and she was surprised and delighted. She can make it out with her right eye, but it is getting bad, too. She is going to the eye doctor tomorrow.
Apologize for my typing.
Love you all. I'm putting my nursey stuff again.
Like I said, this is hard.  I have to go back to work now.
love ya,
Nursey Quinnie

Tuxie Tuesday

😎😁Well, still no repairs on the NEW wheelchair. One of the arms is ready to fall off. As anticipated, I guess.  One of our therapists took the foot petals off and it makes it easier to get around the apartment (and easier for Mommy to reach the microwave and toaster and the computer cause it makes the chair not jut out so far in front).
We had a visit Monday from the State Services for the Blind  They gave us two magnifiers that are better than the little one Mommy got from Amazon, and the one has a little purse thingy to put it in for when she goes somewhere.
Do you remember a while back when she had to have needles actually stuck in her eyes by a doctor? (Mommy is losing her vision slowly).
Eeww. Insulin needles are bad enough to watch go in her tummy parts. I would not like to see them in her eyes!
Mommy has two appointments (other than more therapy) this week.  So she is planning on being gone at least part of Wednesday.
And the nicest things? Temperatures here are getting WARM! It won't last, but still. Forty degrees F instead of MINUS four degrees? Bring it on!!
We have a gofundme page that hasn't worked out so far. So, if you still want to give to our fund for an electric wheelchair and better housing, please donate to PayPal on our behalf. to our regular PayPal account. Mommy even filed a report with the Better Business Bureau with the gofundme problem. It insists that we should have a cell phone (we don't right now) and be able to receive texts, refuses to do a voice call to a landline, and won't allow us to update our banking info so we have no way to get our funds.
love ya,
thank you for your lovely thoughts and prayers and sent hugs
(right back at ya),
and continued support of these two Minnesota ladies (see, I'm still being good and not calling Mommy an OLD lady),

We want to thank all of you nice woofies, kitties, other four footed  and two footed ones who have helped us. Our rent is paid, our insurance is paid, there are a couple of other bills coming in (Chewey is one, some prescriptions for mommy is another) that we still can't cover.
So if you can still send a little to our Paypal account, that would be appreciated. We are so horrified and embarrassed to ask.
But we love each and every one of you for helping us.
Mommy went to the bank Thursday to get a  money order to pay the rent (to make absolutely sure the payment went through) and it was sooooo cold she said she ached and she wasn't even outside that much, and had her blankie over her legs and her hat and gloves and coat on. Yesterday morning she said when she started out it was -2F. Life in Minnesota. People are complaining that we should have much more snow for that kind of temperature. Hey, leave well enough alone we say!
Since Mommy is typing this for me I decided to sneak up on her office chair. Shhhhh. Which is a big no-no. I don't think she has seen me yet. Although there is this little towel up here that is just my size....
love ya,
and God bless you all for helping us!
Quinnie Makayla.
just a funny
Thank you all again for helping us!!!!

ps. It was ONE whole degree this morning. NOT a negative. The city is rejoicing!.

Please HELP!

This is Mommy Carol. We know. We know. We've been having  a lot of problems. We're sorry. The court thing this summer threw us off and we've been messing up our check writing. They charge for that! And every time we just get farther behind.
Can anyone please spare some monies? If we could get a couple hundred green papers we would be okay. Please?? This is for rent and we could be evicted this time. We have no relatives to help us. Both the sisters are  quite ill themselves, but they have children who can help. The brother is too old and too far away dealing with his own problems. He has no children.
This is so hard to do, but we are down to real serious "poordom" with my own health and money problems. Purchasing some drugs this month is in jeopardy.
The new manual wheelchair is doing well so far.
Quinnie is being so good.
Thank you.
Carol
PLEASE help. We like being the helpers and we want to be again, but this is very scary.  Drop some monies in PayPal. Please. I am worried sick.
Right now my face is full of tears (really) and as soon as I sign off on here I will be praying very hard.
There is no New Years celebration here, only tears.
