New Year's Eve at Last!

Mama spend hours and hours and hours at that party last night.  And didn't bring me a thing back!  And I smelled  roast beast on her.  I know I did! *pout*
She said that they had something called hitches, and it was two hours before they got to eat anything but little pieces of bread. Good thing mama likes bread, I guess.
Then, because she is the projectionist for the movies, they made her one of two "keeper of the keys" at the last council meeting, and the other person wasn't there last night.  So she had to get the microphone out and do the radio. And just when she was going to lock everything up, they said leave the radio on while they cleaned up.  So she had to stay.
See the microphone part of the system is on the right , and the dvd side can also play the radio and cd's is on the left. She hasn't figured how to play the cd's yet (no sound comes out for them) and is sposed to get some actual training someday. So when everything is running, she has to be the one to shut everything off and lock up.
So that meant staying later.  It also means staying later at council meetings, now, where they use the microphone part.
That part wasn't fun last night.  And she didn't even get foodies to take home!
It is wonderful that she is so trustworthy, but it can be a pain.
She brought home a pressie.  It was a little white bear with a little pink pillow that says love.
Bears. Not that she doesn't have zillions of them, and the white ones always freak me out.
Tonight mama's staying home to watch the new year fireworks, and I have been given permission to go to my Sugar Pie's house for a party.
My turn!
Hope you have nice plans for tonight like I do!
Stay safe.  Don't drink too many niptinis.  You might have to put your beans to bed!
And kittens, milk only!!!

Thursday Thhstuff.

Well, the news today?  Tracie finally camed over. We missed her a lot, so it was nice to see her.  She has the habit of always filling my water bowl when she comes, even if it was just filled.  And she always talks to me.
Tonight is movie night.  The movie is Letters to Juliet, or something.  Anyway, when mama gets home she gets to cuddle with me.  That's the important thing.
Tomorrow night she has a dinner to go to.  An early New Years's Feast.
Wonder if I get some of her foodies?
The rest of Mr. Turkey is now in the freezer, waiting for another day.
Phooey.
So's the hamm.

Happy Boxing Day

Well, Monday is Boxing Day in the UK so Happy Boxing Day to our Brit friends! I hope efurryone got lots of foodies and toys and good stuff for Chrissymouse and Hannukah.
Yesterday started out with Cimmomon Rolls. Mama let me have some bread parts of one. Ooooh! Noms!!!
And of course we had turkey for dinner!  Mama doesn't carve very well, so the kitchen got a little messy. The turkey was very very good, and I helped mama clean up!! I got to eat anything that accidentally fell on the floor. Or on purpose (tee hee).  And we gots lots of leftovers for once. We usually don't have a whole turkey if we have turkey at all.  Sometimes we have Christmas hamm instead.
Dessert for my good mama was an apple. Yup. Didn't even have pie.  And her levels (she's a diabetic) were very good at bedtime. She coulda had pie!  I like pie crust and I don't like apples! Oh well, we had pie for Thanksgiving.  And hamm. So I gotta be grateful, huh?
It's awfully quiet here today, so maybe some people are still celebrating with famblies. And, it being Minnesnowta, we should have snow, right??
Wrong.  It's almost 50 degrees out!
Not very Chrissymouse-like around here!  But traveling to see famblies was a lot safer for beans because of it. So we are grateful for that.
Hope you all are safe and warm and happy, and all our sick friends are feeling a little better.
love,
brandi
Ps.  I am soo sorry I didn't get to the Hotties Chrissymouse Eve Party at the right time. I did get there, though.  Seems as though somebean didn't read her emails.  Wonder who?

A New Award

How sweet.  We gotted a new award! It has been a while, but we love every one of them!
We were very honored to find out that we were given the Liebster Award by Sheldon the Cat. You should check out this blog from our Polish friend. We love our international neighbors!
Just as the word "liebster" suggests (it's German for "dearest"), the award's purpose is to acknowledge wonderful new or lesser-known blogs, and to help spread the word about them. We wanted to continue the chain of this award, as we are so very thankful for all of our  friends in the Blogosphere that have inspired us and have supported our blogging efforts! The following are the unofficial "rules" for how to accept and keep this award going:

1) Thank the blogger that gave you the award and then add a link to their blog.

Thank you, Sheldon the Cat.  It is wonderful to hear from our international friends! You are very dear to us, too.

2) Reveal your top five picks.(they must be up-coming blogs with fewer than 200 followers).

Our nominations:
They are a wonderful blog, and their mommy is dealing with a very sick Tucker.  They are all being very brave and sweet, and very "dear" to us!
We enjoy following this sweet blog and watching Jasmine growing up and living with Simba (not always harmoniously, but they try).

Brulee and Truffle are very young and very sweet, and live at the Cosy Cottage of  our dearly departed and missed Sweet Praline.
This library cat is very dear to my mommy, cause she loves libraries and even worked in a couple, herself. Tober is a lovely addition to this library, and is quite a character! We wish our neighborhood library would adopt a cat!
Fairly new to us, Callie is a very sneaky (and we say that with smiles) kittie who makes us, well, smile.

(3) Copy and Paste the Award to Your Blog (check out our side bar).

4) Let them know about their nomination by leaving a comment on their blogs.

5) Hope that they pass the love on to other deserving blogs!

We want to express our thanks for the blogging world and everyone we have crossed paths with. You all mean a lot to us. We also want to extend our biggest purrs and good healing thoughts out to all kitties, woofies, and beans who are in need of them right now. We send you all love and hugs and thoughts of health. And we have our paws crossed for all of you. And to those who have helped us in our time of need, you are our angels on earth. We never forget.
Check out these lovely blogs if you haven't already.
love,
brandi

And pardon our dust.  When we put the award in our sidebar, we erased everything and had to start over.  Stupid mommy.  Stupid mommy. Stupid mommy.

Monday, Monday

Mama had to remember to fill my water and her water bottle and the teapot so that we have water today.  The city is turning off our water from 9 to 3 pm today.  No one seems to know why, but we are complying.
Mommy had a hard time getting up this morning, but I reminded her that it was important to do stuff like wash the floors n stuff. Before we had no water.
My job is done for the day.

Finally Friday and Good News

Last night mama said the memorial was very very nice. She helped set up and also clean up at the end.  People told funny stories about the lady, and remembered her with lots of smiles and a few tears. They showed pictures of her throughout her life, and played her favorite song, and showed off her drawings.  The memorial card was filled with her own drawings, which mama has on the fridgeator.  There was a very beautiful prayer, and poems and it was lovely.
Earlier in the day we gotted our Holiday Basket.  So now, sitting in our freezer is a turkey, some chick-hen  breasts, and we have all sorts of stuff for our holiday dinner.  Yummy.
It is bright and sunny today, after being gray for several days and really windy yesterday.  Of course, that means it's colder, again.  *sigh*
Oh, wait.  It's nice and warm in here! I am very thankful!
Speaking of thankful, yesterday I forgotted to mention some things I am thankful for.  I forgotted to mention my Denties and my Tempies.  What was I thinking????? And now there's those birdies in the freezer to be thankful for.
I thought this was appropriate.
So we are in the final countdown for Santy.  And did you know the nice thing beans have been doing for others in several states?  They are paying down on other beans layaways at KMart so that children will get their presents and clothing, and parents don't have to struggle so hard.
What a wonderful thing to do.
Chrissymouse.  Good things happen!

We are sorry about sweet Admiral passing, but think of all the lovely friends to play with over the Bridge!
And we are horrified for the Pittie Pack's family.  They lost their home and five Pitties to a fire. See here for the terrible story and leave a message at the Pittie Pack's blog. They need lots and lots of hugs and help.

Thankful Thursday

I think it's time for me to do a Thankful Thursday.  So here is part of my list:
I'm thankful for my mama.
I'm thankful for my lovely home.
I'm thankful for all my blankies.
I'm thankful for all my friends on the internet.
I'm thankful for my Sugar Pie.
I'm thankful that my litter box is changed as often as I want it to be.
I'm thankful that my mama feeds me and gets me fresh water before she does anything for herself.
I'm thankful for living all this time.

Thank you for reading this, too.

A Foggy Day

Yes, we have no sun. No sunbeams. And this evening, no mama.  She has a resident council meeting to go to. Thursday there is no movie, cause there is a memorial for one of the ladies who lived here.  Mama knew her.  She was the daughter of the gentleman who used to live down the hall from us with Lizzie the poodle. She had a breathing problem and other matters of ill health, but she was really nice, and mama said she was a beautiful artist.  Even her doodles were works of art!
Anyway, tonight is the monthly meeting. So I will get to have the place to myself be lonely and sad not to have her around. I hope she brings back something nice, like good stuff to eat!
Nice day to snooze and cuddle.
Keep cozy. Practice being nice for Santy! He's gonna be watching really close!

Sunday Snooze? Maybe Not!

Oh happy day, ca-loo ca-lay! It is 31 degrees out!  We are out of the frozen tundra effect for a little while!  And even the sunbeams this morning feel warmer!!!  And I have just had my morning Denties!!! We are certainly starting the day off right!!!
Last night, of course, mama broked her Swiffer Wet Jet, which made her mad.  That's how she cleans up around my litter box between floor washings, and the floor when I do whoopsies. And we can't replace it for a couple of weeks till we have green papers again. Oh, wait, that means extra dirty feet for me.  And baths! Heellllllpppp!!!!!
Really sucks when you don't have those green papers! BIG!
love,
brandi
Glad she got my Tempies and foodies before she ranned out of green papers.

December 10, 2011

Temptation Alert!

Bright shiny sunlight, nice sunbeams, mama's home, she found big bags of Temptations yesterday (I gotted a salmon flavor) which is not Denties, but a really tasty second best. It is huge! HUGE!!! OMG!
You Tempie lovers out there (specially multiple cat homes) have got to get your beans to look for these!
Instead of 2.1 oz bags they are 6.3 Megabags!
If efurryone knows these already, why haven't you spread the news???
Still meowing over this,
brandi
p.s. it is 10 degrees warmer than yesterday morning. Woo hoo.
fyi: mama scored the Tempies at Target!

Friday Update

Okay. Yesterday I was sicky. I threw up. I accidentally sat in it and walked in it before mama could clean it up.  I guess I deserved what I got.
A bath. Yuck.
But you know something?  The hair dryer was nice and warm.  Kinda liked it.... And I am so fluffy now.
Don't please don't tell mom.
It might give her ideas.......
Today she goes downtown.  It is supposed to be really really cold.  Like in the lower teens. And it's because I need more food.
Revenge is sweet?

sorry, mommy.  It was 5 when we gotted up. Brrrrrr! But I do look pretty and all floofy.
And don't forget more Denties!!!
And it's now a fur dryer.  I claim it.  If I have to go through another bath, it's mine.

Serious and Not

This is the 70th anniversary of something called Pearl Harbor. Mama told me it was an attack on US soil that brought us seriously into something called World War II.
It seems to me (as you can see on my sidebar, I think I must be a pasifist cause only animals should fight with each other, and even then we should think twice) we shouldn't celebrate this. We should only honor those brave soldiers who defended us and some even gaved their lives for us to be a free nation.
I think we should honor our brave soldiers every day of the year.
Just sayin.
On to other news: mama's rides yesterday went very well to and from the doctor.  And she got a prescripshun adjusted.  And she now has something called Vertigo.  Do not understand that one, so don't ask me to explain.
Tomorrow if they have enough food, the food bank will be here and mama will volunteer.  And then tomorrow night is the movie.  I don't know if Tracie will be coming around this week or not.  Efurryone is running around and busy this time of the year!
Sorry to be so serious in the begining of this post.  But I am going to say one more serious thing.  A lot of us on the Cat Blogosphere have been sickly lately or gone over the Bridge, and we all are pretty good at sending hugs and thinking of each other.  So I will try to be not so serious on my blog, and start spreading more serious NICE. I  think we all need smiles....

Giving Season

Gee, already snow is getting old.  Imagine the next several months!! It's snowing again!
Mama has to go to the doctor again today (another one).   She hopes the trip will be less stressful than Saturday's. So that's really all that's going on today.
I know she's worried about green papers and affording stuff this month, including her medicashuns and food (and my food).  Wish I could do something to help besides cuddle with her.
A lot of beans and animals have a hard time this month.  Please think of them (and us) and donate to a shelter or a charity near you if you possibly can or volunteer.
That's why mama volunteers.  She can't afford to give.
So the next time you hear the "bell ringers" or hear of a fund for a family in need or a animal or bean shelter that needs funding, give if you can, and volunteer even if you can give!
You don't really need another sweater or toy.
Someone else  really does.
Chrissymouse is about giving, after all, right?

Oh, it's Magic out There

The scene outside my windows before mama camed home yesterday:
Well, actually, it was worse.  It started snowing and then the visibility became less than half a mile ( couldn't see hardly anything) and it snowed 3 inches total for the day. I couldn't wait for mama to get home!
She said she haded two rotten rides, one going downtown where the guy couldn't figure out how to get anywhere, like he was maybe a tourist and drove round and round trying to find the IDS Center middle of downtown, and the Y (which is pretty easy to find) and the one coming home that insisted mama was on the wrong side of the IDS Center (pretty big place) even though she was outside under the address sign, and he maded her walk all the way across the Crystal Court and she pointed out that the address sign he parked by was not where she requested to be picked up at.
But she said she gotted her stuff done downtown, and she even had something called a Skinny Peppermint Mocha because she had a coupon.  And she was by the Love from Minnesota store, which was busy and decorated all up for Chrissymouse, and she wented in and looked at some cards there that had kitties on them. I guess she was missing me like I was missing her. So she needed a kitty fix.
Oh, she said, the IDS Center and it's Crystal Court were pretty too.  They had their fountain going, which is always pretty (pretty thirsty making if you ask me), and a big Chrissymouse tree and a Menorah ( a very nice thing to do so as not to forget our Jewish friends who also celebrate this time of year), and lots of sticky little beans looking cute (hmmm, really?) and famblies to go with them (to make sure they don't attack any strangers).
So when mama gotted home we snuggled a lot.
She didn't share her roast beast, but she broughted home some banana bread, so I forgaved her.
Today we can hear the sound of shovels.  And we get to snuggle all day. *sigh* A very very nice day even if there are no sunbeams. Hope you have a sweet Sunday.

Saturday STuff

Well, here we are at the weekend.  And mama has to run an errand this afternoon so she will be gone for a while.  This morning was sooo cozy when she was under the quilt and I was on top of her, but eventually I had to be fed and needed fresh water, so I had to let her up.
You remember my pink quilt?  It's been put away for a long long long time, but it is back.

Not a very good picture of it, but the only one mama could find.  There are prettier ones, but you get the idea, anyway. I love to stretch out on it and curl up on it and just LOVE it.
I must say, though.  I was getting a little fluffy in this picture, and have slimmed down a lot.
Yes, mama is going to be gone part of this afternoon.  But she promised to be back before it starts s***ing. Those big fluffy white things, ya know. What Khyra likes.
The rest of the weekend is mine!!! I get her. Me.  No errands.  But maybe a hamburger or two?? Or that leftover hamm in the freezer would be nice. Hint. Hint. Or some tuna??  Or... at least a lot of scritchies, please.
love to all,

Wednesday Woes on Thursday

Downtown as seen from the lounge upstairs

We are back home.  It was very very boring upstairs.  Also, they didn't tell mama that the microwave was gone, and all she had was a package of cheese and crackers that she was going to use as a snack, and that became her lunch. So no soup for us.
They do feed you at the senior place next door when you can't be in your partment cause of work being done, which is very nice of them, but she can't bring me in there so that wouldn't work. She also is not allowed to just leave me while she gets the food and brings it back to the lounge.  Whew!
I had food. And Denties. But poor mama with her diabetes. Cheese and crackers and some glucose tablets.  She didn't dare take any insulin. If you are a diabetic you know why. Definitely not enough carbs for insulin to work on.
We had 8 hrs of this prison.  She had a book and a phone, thank goodness, and when I gotted crabby she took me out of my PTU (which is illegal.  All cats have to be in PTUs when not in their partments here) and cuddled me. And of course, cleanned up my pee after I went in the PTU (well, Where Else was I sposed to go??)
When we got back to our wonderful partment (and had to clean up after all the people who worked in it) we ated the soup.
Not a nice day.
Mama is still cleaning up the mess here.
At least Tracie is coming this afternoon. It snowed overnight, but only a little bit, so she should be able to get here with absolutely no problems.
I need more cuddles.

Just an Update

Today is bright and sunny and I love it.  It's in the 30's outside, but very comfy inside.
Tomorrow will be different.  We are going to the lounge upstairs again while they do some work in my partment.  Upstairs all day without a litter box is interesting.   Mom carries paper towels. Smart mom!
Thursday I think Tracie is coming over (yea) and then it is movie night.  Mama is showing a movie called the Holiday. Next week she is trying to get the original Miracle on 34th Street. Then she gets a week off cause a really neat lady who lived here died recently and the community room will be used for a memorial for her.
This Friday she is going to be going to the doctor again. As well as next week.  She often wonders why she can't see 2 doctors on the same day.  So do I.  But for both it involves her not being here...
More snores.
See ya

Monday, Monday

Mama wented downtown this morning, and she is back. She didn't buy anything, just went to FedEx to get some stuff copied.  She wented into a store called Love from Minnesota (she has 2 coffee mugs from there and there are BEARS on them). She founded a Chrissymouse ornament of Santy Claws, and it had written on it "define good".  She said it was funny and she thought of me. Funny??
Why?
She also saw some pretty ornaments and they had an angel that was many many green papers--one hunderd and eighteen!  Really! The cute Santy was only a lot less green papers, she said 6 of them. Whew!
Thats a lot of Dentes right there!

Snoozy Sunday

It's sposed to be sunny today (after two days of dreary sleepy fogginess) but it sure is slow coming. Most of the snow is already gone. They started the Holidazzle Parade (Christmas floats downtown) and it was beautiful as usual (we watched it on tv), plus it was in the 50's and no one had to freeze if they came to watch it.  You see, one year it was soo below zero one night that they cancelled that night so no one would be hurted by the cold.  I bet even sweet Khyra would have stayed home that night! They do the parade Thursdays through Sundays up to Christmas. But the warmies have gone again, and its sposed to be colder from now on.
I think I messed with mama's mind last night.  I sat in her lap for a looooonnnnnng time and let her pet me. Usually I don't like moosheys or petties for very long. I claim that as my Chrissymouse present to her! Early!
Back to snoozies.  Be sure to catch Jan's Funny Farm for a beautiful video from Percy.  Mama played it twice already.... it was pretty, and Percy did a good job conducting the music.

Black Friday

I don't know why everybody calls this Black Friday.  Only black cats allowed???
I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful.  We had Hamm, of course. Mama waved it under my nose when she unwrapped it before sticking it into the oven.  And then it smelled and smelled and smelled until we could finally eat and eat and eat.  Didn't care for the peas or the stuffing or anything else that came with it, but let me at the Pumpkin Pie, please! You already know I love pumpkin muffins, don't you?  Well, pumpkin pie is just as good. Every time she opens the frigerator I hope she's getting out leftover hamm or pie! And oh, the smell of that pie baking was almost as good as the hamm that was cooked after it!
And today, Traci camed over.  Thanksgiving was her birthday, so she's going to a pot luck (leftover turkey anyone?) with her family this evening. And she's bringing deviled eggs. Yumm.
Mama sent her home with a piece of my pie!
Mama said everybody goes shopping on Black Friday.  For toys for black cats???  She doesn't go, so I suppose that's why.  But mommy, I'm faded black. Sort of.....
Guess I am lucky she's staying home with me the rest of the day.....
Cuddle time!

A Newby Cute Alert

Some of you know that my bestest woofie friend who comes to visit me for real is Maggie the Schnauzer. She doesn't have a blog, but her mommy and mine have been friends for many many years. And her mommy is the bean who figured out my name when I first camed to my furever home. Many many years, too. This is Maggie:

Anyway, there is a cute little puppy woofie that is fairly new to the blogosphere  (Pets Blogs United featured him).  His name is Rupert and his blog is Along Came Rupert.  Go say hi. I'm sure you will also say "aaaawww".

Something on Sunday

The left overs yesterday were lovely (mama scraped all the stuff off the chicken so I could just have chicken).  Tracie wasn't feeling good (her back hurtied) so she didn't come over. And this is what it looked like outside:

And this is what it looked like inside:

Sort of.  These are old pictures, cause our camera is still broke.  And the blue thingy isn't on the bed right now Just our pretty flowered sheets (to make us think of warmer sunnier weather), but my grey chanille blankie is! And that definitely is what it looked like outside!
Today is sausage and mushroom casserole left overs.  Whoo hoo!
It's just a little over a month till Chrissymouse! Oh, my.  It sure looks like it outside!
We're going to get very tired of this snow in a month or two.  But right now it's kinda pretty.
Have a snuggly Sunday!

Saturday Stuff

It's sposed to snow/rain today. And I hope Traci comes over anyway!  The dinner last night was very good.  I mean GOOD. As in we got leftovers! Some of it is too spicy for me, but at least someone heard me, and brought back stuff. Mama was one of the first helpers to arrive and one of the last to leave.  The dinner was sponsored by the food bank, and was Chinese food from LeeAnn Chin. Anybody else have this great restaurant?? Nummy foods!
I am worried. though.  We gots lots of leftovers in the frigiator, and I don't think there is room for my hamm dinner when it is cooked and there is leftovers for me.
Well, maybe there won't be a problem.  I know.  Traci can take some home.
Wait, that casserole in the frigiator is really tasty.  It's got sausage and mushrooms in it.
Well, we can just eat that and the leftovers from last night before next Thursday!
Only our gobble gobble won't be turkey.
Oh, and we gots punkin muffins in there.  I loves them.  That won't be a problem to eat them....
Happy Saturday, all.

It's Me this Time

Okay. Mama turned off the you tube stuff for a minute.  Time for me to say Meow to everybody.  I been moving kind of slow the last couple of days, and enjoying a lot of nappies.  We are sposed to get new smoke detector batteries today, so the guys will be in here for a bit.  Then, it looks like I am once again going up to the penthouse lounge sometime soon while they do some stuff in here. Don't know when, though.
Mama has a dinner on Friday.  The food bank she volunteers at is giving it. It is to thank people for allowing the food bank to do it's thing.  And of course, the volunteers are serving.  She better bring back some foodies!
It is getting close to turkey day, but mama said the suppliers of her grocery store can't get in smoked turkey legs (we don't need a whole turkey). No, I am not going to pout! We are having HAMMM!!!
If I was young enough, I would be doing back flips!! Hammm steak! Whoo hoo!!
And Thursday night's movie is Billy Sweetfeet's favorite--Mama Mia.
There has been kind of a dancing theme around here for the last couple of days, hasn't there. Well, all you youngsters, (and as Billy would say), DANCE, DANCE, DANCE!
And I will NAP, NAP, NAP (and eat).

Lebin lebin lebity lebin

This is supposed to be a magical number.  Lots of beans around here have planned their weddings on this day! Or are celebrating birthdays and anniberceries!
But less we forget, it is also Veteran's Day and Remembrance Day. The day to honor the beans who defend us from bad beans.  Those noble boys and girls who decide to serve their country and come back to us (we pray) as proud men and women.
You are our heroes.
So to honor you who honor us by defending us:
'ten hut!
We Salute YOU!
At ease.
Well done, good soldiers,
and thank you from all of us.

Wednesday Wordy

Mama wented to her resident council meeting last night and she didn't bring me anything back! She brought orange slices! She claims that was all they gaved her.  Phooey.  Last time I gotted tuna salad! They usually have something after all their meetings, but orange slices? I bet she ated all the good stuff before she camed back!
We get an inspection next week.  It's battery change time in the smoke detectors, so they also check the partments to see if anything needs fixing.  That brings up something.   Have your pets/slaves/beans change your smoke detector batteries at least twice a year! This could save your life. You never know.
We have a friend coming over tomorrow morning, and then mama goes to her food bank to volunteer.  Then tomorrow night she is showing a movie about chipmunks. It's called Chipmunks, the Squeequill or some such thing. Why not something interesting like Milo and Otis??? What could be more interesting than a woofie and a kitty?
Beans. We love them when they bring back stuff anyway.
Next week is Mama Mia. My Mama.  Hmmm. Oh, mama says it's a musical. Something Billy Sweetfeets could dance to!
And Tracie is coming Friday or Saturday.
And we missed out on a big snowstorm today.  SNOW!  I guess it's that time of year again.
Anyway that's my wordy words today!
Be safe, and... isn't it wonderful to have a furrever home and lots of love? Even if they don't bring home good stuff to eat when they go somewhere.
I love you too,

Survive Halloween?

I hope you all survived Halloween and all the doorbell dings and "Trick or Treat"s. And the costumes some of you were made to wear!  Our community room had a party and that's where all the little ghosts and goblins went.
And mama didn't give me a whole bag of Denties!!!! Well, she got out a new one and opened it for me, and she said she didn't want me to be sick eating all those treats, but she gaved me some so there.
She was gone yesterday doing stuff. So once again my naps were not interupted with her teasing me and petting me and smoochies.  Well, she did have to make up some of the treaties when she gotted home, like I said.
I only threw up a little hairball.
Tee hee!

Filosofical

Forgive us for not updating our blog.  Notice I said our.  I'm trying to be nice to mama so she will blog more.  She has just been busy. Or so she says.
It's kinda hard to come up with new stuff sometimes, cause when you are a senior cat you spend more time sleeping and eating and not much time playing. So most of my time that's what I am doing. Oh, that and begging for more Denties.  Which I get away with a lot more than I used to.  Mama still tries to get mushie with me and I still tolerate  it for a few short minutes. If I do, I figure she owes me Denties.
We have had no new pictures of my cute self cause mama's camera broked.  Which I am sometimes glad of, and sometimes sad.  It's on our wish list. Once in a while mama will sneak in an old one. How's that?
There are so many kitty blogs now, did you notice?  It used to be a mere hundred or so, now it has grown to lots more than that.  I even have a whole page of blogging friends. And sadly, more of my old friends that I started out blogging because of are over the Bridge. And I am getting old.
I guess this is the way us really senior cats think.
Anyway, it is much colder now, and the windows have remained closed. This morning it has been in the 30's! Today mama volunteers at the food bank, and tonight is movie  night in the community room. She has been asking for a scary movie to show, since Halloween is just around the corner, but no one has come forward. So she is showing a romantic comedy tonight. At least no one will have nightmares!
More sunbeams to curl up in this morning! Gotta go warm these old bones. Did someone offer hamm pizza?? Or was I dreaming?? Enter picture:

Monday, Monday

Lots of people have today off cause it's a holiday in the States.  It's called Columbus Day.  Columbus was supposed to have found the country in 1492 and claimed it for Italy.  Only there were already beans here when he camed, so it wasn't really losted. And mama said since there were other beans who camed here before him, he really didn't find a new country.  It was already here.  But beans still celebrate the day. And Italy doesn't own us.
A nother silly bean thing.
My friend Tracie was here today!  She brought mama a new chair for the puter and tooked our old one away.  It's pretty.  It has a high back and it's the color of....ME.
The windows are still open, but it is looking kind of gloomy out today. It won't be long before they will be closed for the winter. *pout*  Only thing good about winter around here is the sunbeams that come.  But they don't come as strong or as long. *pout*
Better enjoy the windows open as much as possible right now!  Breathe in, breathe in.  Wait.  I gotta breathe out, too.  Rats. Can't save the nice fresh air!

Beautiful Indian Summer

Ahhh.  The windows have been open for days.  It is soooo nice out, and of course I love the nice smells from the neighborhood. We broke some record yesterday, cause it was like 88 degrees F out! Yesterday was soo nice. The day before was soo nice.  Tomorrow will be soo nice. Sunbeams EVERY MORNING! You must know how nice that feels on these old bones of mine.
Mama made a tuna casserole and I got some of the tuna and all the tuna juice and some of the mushroom soup she used. Score!
Tonight is movie night, so that will get me a couple of good naps before mama's home to bug love me to pieces and feed me Denties.
She is showing Avatar.
I am making plans to dream about my Sugar Pie....

Sunny Day

Yesterday was kind of fun.  Tracie was here in the morning (she helped put the old tv in the recycling--it must have weighed twenty-eleben of me), and she said someone was serving barbeque downstairs. Well, mama had to go check it out with her, and it turned out to be one of our neighbors! For some green papers you could get all sorts of barbeque stuff (it was too spicy for my mouth--except the brat), and potato salad and some mac and cheese. Mama shared the potato salad and the mac and cheese and the brat (yummy!) It was good stuff.  Mama said the barbeque was really spicy and good.  So I let her eat that. They both bought something.  Only mama shared though.
Miracle of miracles, mama finally saw Eastenders! We are not as up to date as you lovely Brits are, Eastenders runs a couple of years behind you. So she missed two weeks of episodes. But she has it back!
And Law and Order UK. We don't know how far back we are in that, but I didn't like their getting rid of so much of the cast.  I miss one of the prosecuters. And I liked Matty, and they just killed him off.  At least Ronny is still there.  Matty was owned by a cat, so that made him kind of alright in my book.
Yesterday they ran the Twin Cities Marathon, and an 83 year old lady bean was in it!  She didn't start running until she was in her 50's! We definitely admire her spunk!
And today is full of sunbeams.
We are blessed!

Book Report

I curled up on mama and she read part of it to me.  Then I sat at her side til we finished it. Oscar has brought his sensitive skills to a nursing home. Helping some pass on and their relatives comforted.
Four stars for Oscar. The book was pretty good, too.
I watched mama do a funny last night.  She ate some of my Denties. By mistake. She spit them out. She said she could taste them all night.
Isn't that a good thing?
Today on the bus back from Target, she said the bus driver kept going "Move to the back of the bus" every time someone got on. And they were getting squished.  Finally someone yelled up to the driver, "Hey bus driver, we ARE the back of the bus". Mama thought that was funny too.
Oh, and she bought two flavors of Denties, Chicken and Salmon, to make up for spitting mine out last night. She promised not to eat them. She said once was enough. Not for me!
It was very nice and sunny today, and not too windy.  Nice smells from the windows!
Ah, fall.

I Gots a Prezzie!

My mama is going to read with me a very special book.  She gotted it from the library today. It's called Making Rounds with Oscar, by David Dosa, and it is about a very special...CAT. Oscar comes to beans in a nursing home and sits with them when they are going to go to the Bridge.  This is a very special thing. After all, many of our beans are with us when we make the trip, so why not return the gift? Lovely, huh? And I gets to curl up with mama and read about this very special cat.

Yea!

We have tv!  Mama will get to see Eastenders this week! I have my Animal Planet! Now all we are waiting for today is our groceries.
We still have windows open, even though it is in the fifties out.  All that fresh air! But they won't be open much longer today. The sun has left our side of the building (No more sunbeams today).
The nice cable guy (and yes, he was very nice) was an animal lover, too.  He currently has woofies (yes, I could tell), but he had a feline growing up that lived 20 years. And he knows how to scritchie kitties! And he lives close to our old neighborhood, and knows the neat parks there.
So our new tv is spiffy. Moms word, not mine. And we can't wait for something good to be on. So that we can curl up and watch.
Now it's nap time for me, and book time for mama.
Yea!

Sunday, Sweet Sunday

Nice day to cuddle on the daybed (or my rocker), and especially to watch my mama clean the bathroom floor for the umpteenth time this week!  She's also finished a bunch of books this week, cause of no tv. And I have gotten a lot of treats. And lots of fresh water (she washs the dish several times a day cause she can't think of things to do when she isn't watching tv).
It was supposed to rain today, but we had sunbeams this morning, and it only looks a little rainy east of us.
She can't wait for the cable creeps to come tomorrow. She promised not to be nasty to them, but you never mess with a bean who hasn't seen Eastenders for two weeks!
Tomorrow is also grocery day. Tuesday is medicine delivery day. Wednesday is go downtown and leave me by myself (party, anyone?) day. Thursday is food bank afternoon and movie night. Friday is (cross your paws) the day Tracie will come over.  And it will be the night mama finally gets to see Eastenders! And I can catch up on Animal Planet!!
Busy week.  But mama promises to let me blog.  Right, mom?

Go Figure

We gotted a deal on a new tv.  It's all ready to go! But the cable box/dvr thingy is broked.  Mama thought that was the original problem.  But it was both the tv and the box! So now the cable guy (stupid) has to come back and properly hook us up to the outside world on tv. And he can't come (or whoever they send--I hope smarter!) until Sunday afternoon. So mama misses two whole weeks of Eastenders, and she is not happy. She can still get some of her programs on the internet, but not all of them. And our Eastenders don't match BBC's broadcasts (even if we could get them) so we will never get to see those episodes!
Oh, speaking of BBC, Law and Order/UK is fabulous! We do get BBC America. When we have cable.
The tech on the phone said we could have basic cable if we unhooked the box and plugged right into the tv, but then we wouldn't get the internet! Or the Animal Planet, for that matter.
Go figure.

Oh, and now they aren't coming till Monday morning!

It broked!

Mommy's tv broked.  She is going crazy.  We really can't afford another one, but what can you do? She misses some of her programs that she can't get on line.  Like Eastenders. I think this month's foods order will be really little.  Again.  At least I have nuff of what I need, foods and litter and Denties.  But maybe not mama. But mama needs her tv. Hey, it's driving ME crazy!
Sheesh. The tv is umpteen oodles of years old.
Talk about hogging the puter. That's all the entertainment we have.  At least we can play movies and stuff on it.  But blogging??? I hope so.
Life in the modern world, mama said.
Wish we had birdies and squirrels.  That might help.

Update

Mama is doing better.  She spent most of yesterday at the clinic. She has had her insulin adjusted and had lots of tests done. So she is doing okay.  She has to call the diabetic nurse once a week for a while to report how she is doing with the adjustments.  So thank you for your concern and purrayers!  Mama said her tests all were really good, and she doesn't need so much insulin! That means I help her eat healthy.  More fish, more spinach. We both are happy. So a little more hamm would be wonderful!
Tracie camed over today, too.
Mama's movie this week was Fly Away Home.  I think I would have liked it.  It had lots of FEAFURS! I mean fevers.  I mean gooses!
Oh, and mama said she is going to drive me crazy tomorrow cause she is gonna slow cook something and it will smell really good.
She let me have some beef stew today, but she washed my face after. Oh the humilitation.  But worth it.
Love you all,
brandi

Hello Once Again

We tried to sign on again yesterday and our computer was acting up.  Strange things were blinking at us and we couldn't access anything.  We called the cable company, and their answer was "it's not our problem".  Since mama doesn't have the kind of green papers it costs to fix the puter, we started trying to figure out what to do.  Then mama remembered long ago we had to do something with the history of the puter ??? Anyway, it worked and we are back.
Yesterday was not good anyway, cause we had the parametics here in the early morning.  Since they weren't cute ones, I stayed in my room. The end result is mama is leaving this morning to go to the doctor to have her insulin amounts once again adjusted. Better they take her blood than mine! This will be an all day thing, so anyone want to come over and snuggle in the nice blankies, please do.  We have lots of Denties, but the fridge only has boring stuff in it.  Like left over green beans and stuff. Maybe there's a little cheese, though. The fish (salmon) is in the freezer, though.  Darn. That's harder to open.

Miss Me?

We had troubles with our blog, like Daisy.  And Huffle's mom helped us out. We are sorry I have been away so long, but that is part of my excuse. So, I got new stuff. A second page with this loonnnngg list of friends.  I know a couple of my woofie friends aren't on there yet, but have patience. You will be! And new pink colors for me. And a few things to take care of.
But being away meant not being able to say how our hearts go out to Sue and Edsel's family, and Beau and Cathy's family. And we didn't get to do Mo Cats Day, or pay tribute to the fallen of 9/11. But in our hearts, we were there.

Hello Again

Whew! Mama camed back from helping at the food bank with lots of stuff.  They let the volunteers have some of the remainders, and she gotted lots of applesauce (unsweetend) and bread stuff and something called sparegrass. Sparegrass??? Didn't look like grass to me.  And some more stuff, including figs (yuck) and beef stew (yay!).
This is a really hot day here. The food bank was hot, too. Sposed to be around 94 degrees F here. Mama kept the air cooly thingy on for me.
She is doing okay.  I have been extra nice. Oh, except for yesterday morning.
The great gray predator queen stalked her prey quietly. Quickly she pounced! And when the prey    didn't wake up, she walked right up to its ear and let out a mighty MROW!
You should have seen mama jump.
Yes, we are both okay now. I still have some tricks up my paw....

Happy Monday

Mommy is sick today. So I gotta keep this short.  She woked up really early this morning and her tummy was upset.  She said something like "I got a bug" but I swear, I never saw her eat it.  She was sleeping!
It was more like a hairball. Or six. I had to keep checking on her (Nursey brandi to the rescue!). I offered to sit on her tummy for her and keep it warm, but she sorta said "Not on your life!"  She kept getting up and running into my litterbox room, so I guess I could'nt have got comfy any way.
She finally kept something down  besides water, and had some chicken soop.  And, ya know, I let her have all of it and didn't complain once! Somebody with that much stuff coming out needs to put something back.
Coming, mama..... (nursey duties never end)
Lets take a nappy now???

National Relaxation Day

My Pet Food Delivery place says this is National Relaxation Day.
Don't we do that every day?? Oh, with the exception of kittens with no off button, of course.
We have not been around lately. Busy stuff and also some medical emergency stuff.  Not me.  Mama. She has been having hypoglycemia problems.  That's low blood sugar.  Today she became semi comatose. BAD.
So I am back to being nursey. Sigh.  An owner's duty to her pet.  Gotta keep them healthy so they remember to FEED ME. SCRITCHY ME. CHANGE THE LITTER BOX.
We really don't want the police or the paramedics to show up at our door AGAIN.
Unless they are cute and like kitties.

Sad news~Send Prayers

This is Norway's Prime Minister, Jens Stoltenberg. His offices in Oslo were bombed today. Several people were injured. No, I am not making any political statement or anything. I am half Norwegian, and our family still has a farm a little north of Oslo. I merely want to send prayers to the country and to it's people, and hope others will too.

Norway horror: 80 die in camp shooting, 7 in blast

By NILS MYKLEBOST, AP

OSLO, Norway A homegrown terrorist set off a deadly explosion in downtown Oslo before heading to a summer camp dressed as a police officer to commit one of the deadliest shooting sprees in history, killing at least 80 people as terrified youths ran and even swam for their lives, police said Friday.
Police initially said about 10 were killed at the forested camp on the island of Utoya, but some survivors said they thought the toll was much higher. Police director Oystein Maeland told reporters early Saturday they had discovered many more victims.
"It's taken time to search the area. What we know now is that we can say that there are at least 80 killed at Utoya," Maeland said. "It goes without saying that this gives dimensions to this incident that are exceptional."
A suspect in the shootings, and the Oslo explosion that killed seven people, was arrested.
A police official said the suspect appears to have acted alone in both attacks, and that "it seems like that this is not linked to any international terrorist organizations at all." The official spoke on condition of anonymity because that information had not been officially released by Norway's police.
The official added, however, "it's still just hours since the incident happened. And the investigation is going on with all available resources."
The motive was unknown, but both attacks were in areas connected to the ruling Labor Party government. The youth camp, about 20 miles (35 kilometers) northwest of Oslo, is organized by the party's youth wing, and the prime minister had been scheduled to speak there Saturday.
The blast in Oslo, Norway's capital and the city where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded, left a square covered in twisted metal, shattered glass and documents expelled from surrounding buildings. Most of the windows in the 20-floor high-rise where Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg and his administration work were shattered. Other buildings damaged house government offices and the headquarters of some of Norway's leading newspapers.
Police said the Oslo explosion was caused by "one or more" bombs.
The police official who spoke on condition of anonymity said the Oslo bombing occurred at 3:26 p.m. local time (1:26 p.m. GMT), and the camp shootings began one to two hours later. The official said the gunman used both automatic weapons and handguns, and that there was at least one unexploded device at the youth camp that a police bomb disposal team and military experts were working on disarming.
National police chief Sveinung Sponheim said seven people were killed by the blast in downtown Oslo, four of whom have been identified, and that nine or 10 people were seriously injured.
Sponheim said a man was arrested in the shooting, and the suspect had been observed in Oslo before the explosion there.
Sponheim said the camp shooter "wore a sweater with a police sign on it. I can confirm that he wasn't a police employee and never has been."
Oslo University Hospital said 12 people were admitted for treatment following the Utoya shooting, and 11 people were taken there from the explosion in Oslo. The hospital asked people to donate blood.
Stoltenberg, who was home when the blast occurred and was not harmed, visited injured people at the hospital late Friday. Earlier he decried what he called "a cowardly attack on young innocent civilians."
"I have message to those who attacked us," he said. "It's a message from all of Norway: You will not destroy our democracy and our commitment to a better world."
The United States, European Union, NATO and the U.K., all quickly condemned the bombing, which Britain's Foreign Secretary William Hague called "horrific" and NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen deemed a "heinous act."
Nobel Peace Prize Chairman Thorbjorn Jagland said it appeared the camp attack "was intended to hurt young citizens who actively engage in our democratic and political society. But we must not be intimidated. We need to work for freedom and democracy every day."

Associated Press reporters Bjoern H. Amland in Hoenefoss, Norway, Karl Ritter and Louise Nordstrom in Stockholm, Matthew Lee and Rita Foley in Washington, Paisley Dodds in London, and Paul Schemm in Tripoli, Libya, contributed to this report.

Hot Enough for You?

We are certainly getting tired of beans asking us that! But we are eternally grateful for our nice home now.  This place has the air cooly thingy and we are comfortable.  We used to be miserable in our old place without it. I can't even remember how many fans we had on in the place. One to two in every room! And in the winter, it was blankies all over the place! Not here!
We are feeling very sympathetic to beans in the heat wave who don't have air cooly thingies.  We've been there!
Please remember to tell your beans to drink a lot of water and, hey if your place is hot, ask for a couple ice cubes in your water! And tell them to check on you and on baby beans and elderly beans!
Stay as cool and safe as you can!
Mommy is volunteering tomorrow at the food bank, but it is sort of cool there.

ps. Today is the anniversary of the first walk on the moon. I think space exploration ends tomorrow.  At least the shuttles are grounded anyway.
Today is also the anniversary of my mommy leaving her house by boat one summer when she was living in Missouri. She said it was pretty bizarre sitting in a boat going by trees in her front yard, and holding on to her woofie. She was young enough to think it was an adventure, but old enough to help clean up after the waters receeded.

Not Fair!

Yesterday mama had to go to the clinic and she was gone a long time.  She had lunch there, and didn't bring me any leftovers!
Well, she did share breakfast and dinner.  But STILL!
And this morning she had crumpets, which I am not that fond of. And she didn't share that.
Then this morning she destroyed my artwork in my bedroom.  It's MY bedroom. All those little footie prints I worked so hard at. Gone.
This is turning out to be a rotten day.
And I even was nice when I woked her up this morning.
Geezz!
Oh, and the 4th was kinda okay this year. Getting used to the noise, I guess.  And that chenile blankie....

I'm still Here!

I know it's been a while.  We took a little break. Really nothing to write about much.... Eat, sleep, sleep, eat. Mama has been running the movies for movie night and also puts up on her board free stuff around town, like free concerts and stuff. She is also volunteering to work for the food bank two days a month. She was sick last night after the movie ("the King's Speech") and most of today, so I got to play nursie today, and Traci was warned not to come over so she wouldn't catch whatever it is mom has. She has slept most of the day (always smart) and I curled up on top of her so she wouldn't move (always comfy). And now she feels a little better (you're welcome, mama).
The last time we looked at the temperature today it said 97.  I am Sooooo glad we have the air blowy thing! And mama left it on all night last night! It was 80 when we went to bed!
So, that catches things up pretty much. And here's a picture to remind everyone what I look like in case you forgotted:

Wow! HOT

Tuesday it made it to 107 degrees!!!!  Mama decided at that point the air stayed ON. This little kitty lived with no air thingy for several years. Since we moved here we (I) have gotten spoiled. And I'm older. And I am special. And and and--well, mama's ride home yesterday had no air thingy, and she really really appreciated it being cool in here!
I am sorry for the delay in giving you this important information about my well being. But our internets were not working, and we had a nice repairman come and help today. I was very careful to inspect everything he did. And gave my approval. So now we are back on line!
It is much less humid today and cooler. Yea!
And mama left the air thingy on anyway.

Opinion needed!

Please help my mama make a decision:
Before Noon CDT Tuesday, let us know if she should leave the air thingy on when it is 90 degrees, or open the windows and turn the fans on if she is not going to be here.
Thank you for your opinion. Leave your opinion in the  comments  There is no prize or anything, just my gratitude if you say leave the air on...  She says she should turn it off and conserve energy for the planet.
So please leave your opinion in the comments, like I asked. She is leaving for the after noon on Tuesday and it is supposed to be 90 in the afternoon.
Love, (and please vote for leaving the air on)

P.S. We made it to 97 today! I think the air is staying on!!!!--(Monday)

Saturday Stuff

Oh, here it is again! Saturday! Only Traci didn't come over this week :{
Yesterday the temp hit 90 degrees. And once again, mama turned on the air thingy.  But it was so humid and hot, I really didn't mind the cool at all.
I waked mama up early (6 am) cause I wanted my Denties.
Now that she's up....
Hey mama can I please have some more? Oh wait. You promised to clean the litter box this morning. (She already wiped away my footie prints in the bedroom). And take out the garbage. And clean the kitchen.  Service, please!
Oh,  before she does, she wants me to tell you all the movie Ghost and the Darkness was a very good movie. 4 Stars if you want to check it out.
And her eye thingy won't go away for a long time. She's trying to train her eye to ignore it, but so far, it hasn't.

Hello Again

We had a nice quiet weekend, with the exception of some rain.  And Yesterday We Had the AIR Thingy On!
When I get too cool with it on, mama surrounds me with a blankie.
Mama finished a book today about the Civil War.  Now she's starting a book that takes place in Minnesnowta. Really nothing to  talk about, but the movie on Thursday is the ghost in the darkness. It is supposed to be scarey. One of the other residents here (one who ALWAYS attends movie night) volunteered it.
Just in case you forgot what a pretty kitty I am:
See? Mama always takes care of me!

Our new background to our puter is really pretty, too.  But it kind of makes me thirsty!
Minnehaha Falls
Minnehaha Park, Minneapolis

Our old one made me hungry.  It was a picture of a whale. I understand they are getting endangered, so I would never eat one. Whales look like they could eat several of US!

Hello on Saturday

My mama's eye is still funny. Something came off some fluid in the back of her eye and is floating around. It doesn't mean a detached renta (?) it is just crappy.  It can take up to a year to disappear on it's own. Mama says "follow the bouncing ball, and follow and follow and follow"
If mama stares straight ahead, it disappears.  But if she is watching tv or reading or something like that, she gets the bouncing ball.  I told her it doesn't hurt anything to stare straight ahead. Cats do it all the time. Then we fall asleep. She says sometimes that is not an option for beans. Like when they read or watch tv or cook yummy foods, or feed kitty cats. She asked me if I really wanted to have her stare straight ahead, fall asleep, and NOT feed me. Hmmmmmm. Guess not.
It is bright and sunny here, and the sunbeams are so nice. So I am getting nice and toasty. Mama played a movie called "The Sting" last night. Now, who would want to watch somebuddy get stinged in the first place? Again, beans are WEIRD.
Have a nice long weekend.

Monday Stuff

Wow! What a weekend we had! Saturday mama  got to go to a volunteer dinner downstairs in the community room. Everyone who volunteers here got to go, whether they help out in the flower gardens (we usually at least have flowers around the flagpole in the front, and a small heart shaped flower bed on the side), fixing things like a special cover for the billiards table in the community room, helping security, making sure the laundry room is clean, having a monthly birthday cake for beans, cooking for various special functions, helping the neighborhood food shelf, sending cards to hospitalized residents, running vesper services on Sunday, or running the movie night like mama does.  They had a choice of food: ribs, hamburgers, hot dogs, beans, potato chips and two kinds of salad and watermelon for dessert. Of course, mama didn't bring me anything, but that was okay.  I don't volunteer to do anything but  be mama's beautiful diva, and I get lots of Denties for that every day. She also won a door prize ( a purse) and got to pick out a piece of jewelry (earrings), and got to take some of the bread home. Okay, the ciabatta bread was interesting.
Then camed Sunday afternoon with the bad storms. There were bad tornados south of where mama grew up in Missouri. They crushed Joplin, Missouri, even the high school and the hospital! There were tornados here, and north Minneapolis was badly hit. We live east of there, so we managed to stay relatively safe.
We are praying (and purring) for all the beans and furry things that lost their homes, and are grateful we still have ours. And I stayed close to mama when the sirens for bad weather  sounded and the rain beated against our windows.
After the bad storms out camed the sun, of course, and we are thankful we got some sunshine, but it was in the late afternoon, and I don't get sunbeams in the afternoon.  Still, it was very nice after such a bad day.
It's supposed to rain again today, but I don't think we are getting the bad storms. Another thing to be grateful for!
We're getting some groceries today, and that's about all the news.
Please purr for all the beans and animals who need help after the bad storms. Some don't even have a place to call home anymore.
Count yourself very lucky if you do.

Saturday Stuff

All I can say about today is RAIN.  Mommy left the window open in my room so I am not there.  I am curled up on my bed in the living room!. Nice blankie to curl up in. Near mama. Sweet.
Mama just ordered some groceries for Monday.  NO DENTIES. Well, the place she ordered from had a free delivery. So when she uses her regular grocery place, THEY have Denties.  And I do have some in the pantry, so I'm not out by any means. Mama knows to stock up.
Here I am for probably the rest of the day:
See? Mama even covered me up!

Have a sweet Saturday!

Hello Again

Whew. Mama has been busy. I finally got her to sit down and type for me! Even though she is off to our library in a little while.  Yup. The library is finally OPEN! Mama is going to look around the place and pick up a movie for tonight. Yup.  They have movies to check out.  For free. Mama is going to show the "classic suspense" Rear Window tonight, and they have it.
We have been waiting a year for the place to be remodeled and open.  Mama has been checking out books on line and reading them on the computer, but since she doesnn't have a Nook she is stuck reading at the puter and not able to read the books other places.  Like doctor's waiting rooms and such. Now she is free to do both, check out books AT the library and carry them home or check out books on line and read them on the puter.
As of yet they do not have a library cat.
I hope they have rats.Tee Hee.
