Wonderful Wednesday

It is a little cooler today. Mr. Squirrel and his ward came around this morning for a chat with all of us "back" kitties. His ward is certainly being trained right. He is most polite. Mr. Squirrel calls him the "little chitterer" in a most affectionate way. It is nice to see him helping the little abandoned one out by fostering him. Gives the young one help, and keeps Mr. Squirrel from being too lonely without his own family.

The birdies and the little chitterer are coming to an understanding, too. He is trying to be nice to them, but sometimes he slips up. But so does Mr. Squirrel.

I can't wait for the big party. Mama has said I can come, but of course, I will pop back home once in a while to check on her. She needs me, after all. Maybe I could get some other kitties to check in on her, too. I'm sure she would like that.

Ah. Afternoon sun. I'm gonna check up on the other blogs and then it's nap time!! Maybe a little crunchie grazing first.....

Tuesday is not nice

Mama did not sleep well last night and she had to go to the bean vet this morning to get some pills and stuff. Then she went to work. So I have a break from nursing today. I checked up with Mr. Squirrel and his ward, some birdies came around, and I guess it is nap time soon as I eat my second breakfust.

Kinda sol-um around here. Need more naps so I can go back to being nursie again.

Thanks for all the encouragement. Please pray more for us.

I am visiting some blogs and then getting my beauty naps in...

Love to you all!

Memorial Weekend Update

Oh, my, it was up to 95 today! Hot!! Mama put water on me. I hated it, but I lay down in front of the fan, and it was really coool! Hmm. I might get to like that.

Yesterday my mama went out with one of her friends, and when she came home I satted with her. Nursie duties, ya know!

This evening she has been going over the adds in the local paper, on line. They have a neat service where you can save jobs you like, and sometimes apply directly from there. She found 11 whole jobs!

She did this before, and they have refined their service, now. I hope she will do well. Better than last time.

We want to thank you for all your purrayrs and suggestions. Mama tried the temp thing before, and it wasn't very good. Besides, now she doesn't have a wheelie monster, she has to bus.

Keep purraying for us! Mama is a really good administrative assistant, and she is very nice to everybody. She shouldn't have to be this sad and scared.

Back to nursie duties. My job is never done!

Black Friday

Mama is very sad and unhappy, but at least she knows it's over at her work, and they aren't dragging it on and not telling her. She will still go back next week, and if they want someone to train the new person, she will do so. But now mama has to work hunt again.

I am worried.

We are planning on purraying at 8 pm central tonight for Edsel's mom.

Could I ask you all to pray for my mama and me, too?

Best wishes to all!

Update from Mom

This is mom. It's official. My job is ending. They are not hiring me for the other job. At this point, that is all I can say. Pray for us very hard. I don't know what we are going to do yet. All I can do is hope that it won't be as bad as last time I was unemployed.

I am going home to my sweet kitty.

Rainy Day Thursday

Well, it's not purrty out. Kinda cold and blustery. Mr. Squirrel and his new friend haven't been around yet today. I am taking lots of naps today, so I can be a good nursie to my mama tonight. Last night she wasn't doing verry well. I try to be around and purrr for her. But it hurts me so much too, to see her so unhappy. I guess I love my mama too much, cause I am upset, too.

I hope things get better fast. She wants me to thank everyone for their purrayrs. She has had no information from her work at all, and suspects the worst. That she has lost her job.

She doesn't have a monster to get to you, Lynn, or she would come visit. Thank you for offering.

I think maybe one of her friends should come take her out for a while this weekend or something. I need help with this nursie stuff.

Mean bad people she works for. To make her feel sooo sad. She is a very nice person! She doesn''t deserve meanness.

Wednesday update

From Mom at work:

The person who will make the offer on the new position is gone till next Tuesday. So keep praying everyone. Nice thing to do on a holiday weekend, basically totally wreck it for me! Unless the person emails in an announcement or an offer or something, I still don't know if I will be employed. Or even when my last day is.

Brandi is going to have to stick close to me this weekend.

Eating is making me sick. This whole thing is making me sick.

I was unemployed for two years before I found this job. I did not have medical insurance for quite a while, and I am a diabetic. I had to beg money to pay for my apartment. I gave up my car, my cell phone, my cable, and all my medicine, even my insulin. I don't want to live through this again.

I guess I will survive. I did last time. But it is horribly unfair!

There! No more from me. Brandi will get her blog back. Thanks for reading this.

Wednesday Blues again

Well, the phone thingy worked out, and we have a phone again. Mama is happy about that! And so am I, cause it means getting on the internet!

About the job thing. Well, the "winner" is going to be notified by today, so we are crossing our paws and purraying very hard. Mama has had a hard time eating, and her face is wet alot.

We may be homeless!

I gotta go nap this out.

Afterwards

Mama had her interview. She said it was almost her worst interview ever. She came home and hit the frozen yogurt, and that was her supper. Bad mama! She gave a spoonful to me, and I threw it up. Just like the cheese, lactose intolerant!

Then she found out her phones don't work, so she has no phone, can't get on the internet at home, so she's writing this for me from work.

I hope those silly beans give her the job. She is a super hard worker, and always nice to everyone.

The phone people will be here sometime today.

We have rotten luck sometimes...

Gotta nap.

Monday, D Day

Or should I say I Day, for interview. Mama has an interview today for a job a step up from what she does now where she works. The problem is, if she doesn't get it, she is jobless. Her job that she has now is not going to be there. I wish her luck. We don't like being unemployed! It is scarey.

It is a nice day again. Mr. Squirrel introduced me to his pro-te-jay. A new young squirrel who lost his mama and daddy before he properly learnded all the stuff he needs to know. Mr. Squirrel is soo nice! The young squirrel seems to be very grateful and nice.

Birdies are out, and the sun, and nappies are greaaaattttttzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Happy News Bulletin

Edsel has been found! Everyone is relieved that he is ok. Thank you all puddins for watching for him and reporting in. I am sure Edsel's mom (and Boni, of course) are very greatful that he is ok and thank you for all your concern and assistance.

As a cat community, we are AWEsome. Beans take note!

Public Service Announcement

Attention, Attention! Calling all kitties!

If any of you out there see Edsel tell him it is ok to go home. His mommy is worried, and so is Boni.

Apparently the custom thing is being worked out, and he is not a criminal.

Repeat, if any of you out there see Edsel tell him it is ok to go home. His mommy is worried and so is Boni.

Edsel, please let someone know where you are. You will not be arrested. Please let us know you are ok.

This has been a public service announcement. Thank you for your attention.

And then it was Wednesday

Time has flown! Just like birdies, I guess. Mama got lots of purrs from me for Mother's Day, and I helped her with dinner.

Tuesday she wasn't feeling well, so I stayed close by (nursing duties). She went back to work today. And it is beautiful! Maybe the harness thingy will come out when she gets home. Oh, she said the Swan man is coming tonight. Maybe not.

And she said she will be late tomorrow night coming home. Way late. Yuck! She will say more later on about that to everybody. It is some sort of surprise for her.

If she knows it's a surprise, is it really a surprise?????

Good question to find a sunny spot and nappie on.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!

To all the Mamas out there, thanks for taking care of your children, both bean and puddin ones, and being loving and always there.

Headbutts and purrs!

Friday Update

Okay. Friday's here. It's cold. It's raining out. Mama didn't sleep last night and had to go to work anyway. Blaaagh! She takes pills to sleep, and doesn't have any more. She had her clinic send them by mail and the pills didn't come yet. I don't know why she seems to enjoy taking all her pills, but she says they keep her healthy. And that's important. She is a diabetic, and getting her sleep helps her. I don't need pills to nappy. And I don't like taking pills either!

I haven't even gotted to try out the harness, cause it's been so crappy when mama's home, and when it's nice she goes out on nice weekend days with a friend.

Anyway, last night she brushied me a lonnnggg time! And when she had to leave this morning she gave me skritchies till I was a solid purrrrrr. So life hasn't been all bad.

I think Mr. Squirrel shouldn't go out in this weather, but I will watch for him anyway.

Keep warm, take lots of nappies, and hope this rain goes away!

Thursday Update

It is very coold and windy and gray today. I curled up on mama for a while this morning cause she had her warm blanki. The birds aren't doing a lot of flying around. A neighbor robin said the updrafts were only fun for the young ones, and it was too hard to actually get anywhere, specially for the older birds. They are only flying short distances. Mr. Squirel has been lying low too. He made a quick circle of the building, and then went back to his bush out front. He doesn't have a full tail, you know, and that is what he needs for balance and ballast in the wind.

Burrr. May in Minnesota!

I am catching up on the blogs and then burrowing back into mama's warm blanki!!! Purrrfect day for lots of nappies.

More information

Yes, mama went out on the Missississippi River with her people from work. There wasn't any dancing, and she said, if anyone wanted to, it was too cool to not wear a coat, so no one took their clothes off. That should settle the Viking thing, she said. She works for a "religious organization", and they are not like the Vikings!

Fish. I never thought of that. Of course, fish come from water. She said they didn't have any fish on board, and no one on the boat was trying to catch any.

It was just a nice ride on a boat down the river, a thank you to the employees for a year well done.

So she went back to work yesterday and had to work late. Hmmmm.

May 5, 2006

Friday Mews

Mama gotted to ride on a boat today. It was a work outing. (Imagine!). They fed them and everything. She said the music was too loud (they had a band) but it was very tropical music (whatever??), and she stayed inside cause it was too cold on the river. But she said it was a nice day and she saw lots of water and trees and some houseboats and barges and a tug boat called Ugh. Don't know what all that stuff is, cept the water and trees.

She didn't bring me anything home, either. But she gotted a ride home, so she was early! :-)

Hooray

Moses posted! Moses posted! I am sooo happy! He finally checked in. We have been so worried about him and his new home. What a relief to here from him!

Hooray! Hooray!

Happy Wednesday

It's a lovely lovely day. The sun is shining, the birdies are happy, Mr. Squirrel has been here with the neighborhood gossip. Life is good, today.

Nappies all around! Especially sunspot nappies!

May 1, 2006

Rainy Day Monday

Oh, it's still yucky out. Lots of nappies today. Mama had to go to work. Sunday I gotted more hamm.

Not a lot going on. Birdies aren't happy with the rain, I guess. And Mr. Squirrel is staying dry today.

Nap, nap, eat.

Take care everyone.
